Spectators: 8092 (Terracing: 6070, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trevor Croxford got the match started through his kick off. Stephen George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Garforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 8 minutes Wimbledon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Shaun Higgins who took care of the corner kick. Fitz Garforth struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Stephen George didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballymoney Rovers. Trevor Croxford succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 19thth minute of the game Trevor Croxford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wimbledon FC's Stephen George was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fitz Garforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Stephen George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Trevor Croxford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephen George was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Fitz Garforth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Kitching in the 30th minute of play. Bryan Powell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Ford came out and tried to block the shot, but Bryan Powell slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. A collision led to Ballymoney Rovers getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Martin Kitching hit a great ball. Oscar Ford made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Benji Skinner sent off a good shot on target. Wimbledon FC's Benji Skinner got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ballymoney Rovers's Trevor Croxford in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wimbledon FC's goalie prevented a goal. Stephen George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Garforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Trevor Croxford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Wimbledon FC got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Forrest. Stephen George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trevor Croxford in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christopher Horn made a kick off. Trevor Croxford had several of the Wimbledon FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Stephen George as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 59th minute, Wimbledon FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Trevor Croxford fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stephen George was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Trevor Croxford capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Trevor Croxford really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon FC's Stuart Forrest got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Christopher Horn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Trevor Croxford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballymoney Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Trevor Croxford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen George breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Christopher Horn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephen George made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Fitz Garforth sent off a good shot on target. Stephen George stood somewhat misplaced when Trevor Croxford came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 85 minute. Martin Kitching received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stephen George came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Kitching slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Wimbledon FC defense, Fitz Garforth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephen George. The Wimbledon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephen George should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Ballymoney Rovers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wimbledon FC.
