With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Bateman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brian Bateman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trevor Croxford went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ballymoney Rovers's Fitz Garforth got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fitz Garforth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Bateman having to interfere. Fitz Garforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trevor Croxford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Brian Bateman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trevor Croxford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 91st minute George Champion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Bateman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ballymoney Rovers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Windsor AFC.
