In the 7thth minute of the game Darren Warrender who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lowestoft AFC's Jake Stone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Lowestoft AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Roger Neeson hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Darren Warrender notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lowestoft AFC's Jake Stone . Jake Stone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zackary Blackburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Russ Gettins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Accrington's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sean McDermot fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Robin Medley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Russ Gettins came out and tried to block the shot, but Robin Medley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 25th minute. Jake Stone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bronagh Robertson in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lowestoft AFC's zone, Darren Warrender stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Stone came out of the goal and Darren Warrender tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sean McDermot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Russ Gettins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carl Bradfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zackary Blackburn was the one to do the kick off. Sean McDermot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russ Gettins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zackary Blackburn in the 57th minute of play. Russ Gettins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zackary Blackburn in the 59th minute of the match. If Sean McDermot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Zackary Blackburn made a precise shot to the right of Russ Gettins . Accrington's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Russ Gettins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean McDermot , who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Bronagh Robertson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lowestoft AFC had won after a very even match.
