After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Chris Stockley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wisbech's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Ciarán Rose scored to the left of an out of position Nathan Moon , making the score, 1-0. Connor Blacknell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Moon having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, Sturminster Newton's Connor Blacknell made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nathan Moon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sturminster Newton's Tod Kemp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Basham in the 23rd minute of play. Dominik Corby 's late challenge caught a Sturminster Newton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dominik Corby helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Dominik Corby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A long shot from Brian Gerrard in the 26th minute of play was well struck, but Nathan Moon made a really good save at the right post. Chris Stockley spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Sturminster Newton's goal. Tod Kemp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Basham , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sturminster Newton getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Louis Howlett hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Wisbech got a corner. Sturminster Newton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan Dunning ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Wisbech's corner Garry North fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tod Kemp quite easily take care of the ball. Connor Blacknell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nathan Moon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damien Basham to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sturminster Newton's zone, Garry Fenwick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Kemp came out of the goal and Garry Fenwick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Dominik Corby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Stockley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Tod Kemp made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Devon Brontë had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nathan Moon . Wisbech's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devon Brontë was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 74th minute, Chris Stockley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tod Kemp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Stockley went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 93 played minutes Sturminster Newton got a freekick which was hit by Devon Brontë. 95 minutes into the match, Sturminster Newton's goalkeeper Tod Kemp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Stockley . The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sturminster Newton had won after a very even match.
