Spectators: 8304 (Terracing: 6348, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cliff Robson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joey Barr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Ben Boyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Robert Crawshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangotsfield AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Crawshaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cliff Robson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joey Barr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Annscroft City booed when Mangotsfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason McWilliams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Annscroft City's Matt Neville couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mangotsfield AFC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Barnes in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kasey Rush prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Annscroft City's Cliff Robson got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Annscroft City's Ben Boyd got control of the ball when Robert Crawshaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. Steve Barnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kasey Rush tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Barr in the 38th minute of play forced Annscroft City's goalkeeper Ben Boyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joey Barr stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Robert Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mangotsfield AFC's Kasey Rush proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Mangotsfield AFC from getting a goal against them. Cliff Robson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Annscroft City's David Cheswick got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Joey Barr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangotsfield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joey Barr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Boyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Crawshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ben Boyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Newby's late challenge caught a Annscroft City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Mangotsfield AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jason McWilliams. After 87 minutes Mangotsfield AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matt Neville who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Matt Neville almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mangotsfield AFC's Kasey Rush did a great save. After some careless play in the Mangotsfield AFC defense, Steve Barnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kasey Rush. The Mangotsfield AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kasey Rush should have stopped the shot. If Robert Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason McWilliams in the 97th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
