In the 25th minute of the match, Joey Barr tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Crispin Corby saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Robert Crawshaw who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Crispin Corby when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robert Crawshaws short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Crispin Corby to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kasey Rush showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Mann, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Paul Chivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eric Mann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasey Rush having to interfere. Kasey Rush didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Chivers went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bill Wise in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Crispin Corby saved The Northern Ireland Babe from getting behind. Robert Crawshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crispin Corby having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Chivers to make the kick off. The supporters of The Northern Ireland Babe booed when Mangotsfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason McWilliams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paul Chivers in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kasey Rush prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mangotsfield AFC's Kasey Rush proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Mangotsfield AFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Mangotsfield AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Barrie Clough hit a great ball. Eric Mann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kasey Rush came out and tried to block the shot, but Eric Mann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 61st minute. Joey Barr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Barr blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Crispin Corby having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, one of Mangotsfield AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mangotsfield AFC. In the 78th minute, Mangotsfield AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paul Chivers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of The Northern Ireland Babe booed when Mangotsfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Clough didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Martin Dowie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasey Rush saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Chivers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kasey Rush tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Northern Ireland Babe's Josh Fawcett shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kasey Rush but with some difficulty. After having played for 90 minutes, Joey Barr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangotsfield AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joey Barr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes, Franz Fuller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Northern Ireland Babe and the Mangotsfield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, The Northern Ireland Babe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Fuller to maneuver through the defense. When Mangotsfield AFC's Robert Crawshaw in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
