The tension between the Cambridge Athletic and the Bromley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Colin Best hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cambridge Athletic booed when Bromley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denzil Garrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes, Sammy Howarth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambridge Athletic and the Bromley players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Louie Davis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Myers was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. George Myers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louie Davis in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Greg Ottaway shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Myers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Louie Davis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Cambridge Athletic were the better team. Cambridge Athletic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
