The tension between the Northwich and the Redditch players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Northwich got a freekick which was hit by Damon Crowther. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Blueman got free with Rex Clapham in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45thth minute of the game Pete Butterfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redditch's Andrew Postolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Steven Blueman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Rex Clapham skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Steven Blueman made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frankie Anderson in the 54th minute of play forced Northwich's goalkeeper Rex Clapham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steven Blueman hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Redditch booed when Northwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Ward didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Northwich:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Redditch:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Redditch. Johnnie Skipton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rex Clapham. 2-1. A collision led to Northwich getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luke Best hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Redditch's Harry Medley got a free kick in the 71st minute. Northwich's Brian Hopker couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Redditch. When Frankie Anderson fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redditch's protests and gave Frankie Anderson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Frankie Anderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes, Northwich's Brian Hopker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrew Postolan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Northwich reached it. Andrew Postolan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pete Butterfield showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 84 minute of play. Frankie Anderson took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rex Clapham. Rex Clapham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 94 minutes into the game, Pete Butterfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northwich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redditch the free kick. In the 94th minute, Pete Butterfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Redditch were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Northwich for a fine match.
