A collision led to Dalton In Furness getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Spike McGuinness hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, BELFAST FC's Alan Postolan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rufus Whittaker. Rufus Whittaker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, BELFAST FC's goal looked a bit too open when Graeme Healy came free, but Rudi Birken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Steven Henry got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind BELFAST FC's goalkeeper Rudi Birken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rufus Whittaker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Postolan in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Harry Pugh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dalton In Furness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Pugh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Pugh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, Dalton In Furness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Allen to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Steven Henry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rufus Whittaker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rufus Whittaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Postolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Graeme Healy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Rudi Birken skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Martin Pitts's late challenge caught a Dalton In Furness's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Pitts helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes BELFAST FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Pitts. Rufus Whittaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Postolan in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Huey Rothwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dalton In Furness's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BELFAST FC the free kick. Huey Rothwell kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Graeme Healy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalton In Furness's Harry Pugh got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Graeme Healy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalton In Furness's supporters rose to their feet, but Graeme Healy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudi Birken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
