In the 6th minute Ruben Upson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Baum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Al Baum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Micheal Moss went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. David Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Upson in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Al Baum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Micheal Moss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Baum having to interfere. Brynn Laycock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Rushforth in the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Micheal Moss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corby's Al Baum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Corby from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the match, Camberwell United's Micheal Moss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Al Baum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Al Baum was a little too slow when Micheal Moss got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-2. When Micheal Moss came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Camberwell United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micheal Moss couldn't finish the play. Al Baum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruben Upson in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Ryan Woods was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camberwell United the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Micheal Moss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camberwell United's supporters rose to their feet, but Micheal Moss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Baum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tod Lowe hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Micheal Moss struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Al Baum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell United. If Kenny Rushforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corby's Al Baum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Corby from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Corby's goal looked a bit too open when David Pearce came free, but Al Baum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corby's David Black got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Camberwell United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corby throughout the match.
