Whitton AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Steven Boothroyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Dartford's Stew Jenkinson threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reuben Fieldwick, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dartford played a much better game than Whitton AFC and deserved their victory. The Whitton AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
