If Jonathan Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hucknall FC's Owen Stead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Elliott in the 13th minute of play. Sammy Muldoon came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Hucknall FC's Carlton Warburton. But to his dismay, Carlton Warburton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Carlton Warburton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Bailey hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Len Lobb during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hucknall FC:s Owen Stead showed great skill when he stopped Mike Dumpleton:s penalty. Sammy Muldoon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlton Warburton in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Jack Dougan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dromara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hucknall FC the free kick. The supporters of Hucknall FC booed when Dromara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Dougan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Hucknall FC's Derek Digby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sammy Muldoon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dromara FC's Jack Dougan pulled a muscle in his leg after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Patrick Goldthorpe fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hucknall FC's protests and gave Patrick Goldthorpe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Patrick Goldthorpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Barrett was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Barrett in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Owen Stead prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dromara FC's goalkeeper Sammy Muldoon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hucknall FC's Derek Digby got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jonathan Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derek Digby in the 61st minute of play forced Dromara FC's goalkeeper Sammy Muldoon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Jonathan Barrett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Stead was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Carlton Warburton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Muldoon having to interfere. Owen Stead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Barrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Patrick Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Stead having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Carlton Warburton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hucknall FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlton Warburton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sammy Muldoon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Derek Digby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Muldoon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dromara FC's Sammy Muldoon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlton Warburton in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hucknall FC's Patrick Goldthorpe got a free kick in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlton Warburton got free with Sammy Muldoon in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd of the match, Tristan McDowell tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sammy Muldoon got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Carlton Warburton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
