Spectators: 8483 (Terracing: 6364, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 169) After 15 played minutes, Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s Joey Burns shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jermaine Downs came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mhurphys Fury F.C. reached it. If Billie Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Downs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billie Gray in the 30th minute of the match. Reg Hinchcliffe came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Colo-Colo's Paul Cornish. But to his dismay, Paul Cornish quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Neil Sadler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Downs having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Colo-Colo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! If Billie Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Cornish was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Paul Cornish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reg Hinchcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Billie Gray came free, but Jermaine Downs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mhurphys Fury F.C. booed when Colo-Colo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neil Sadler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jermaine Downs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Billie Gray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mhurphys Fury F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the Colo-Colo defense, Neil Sadler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jermaine Downs. The Colo-Colo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jermaine Downs should have stopped the shot. Adam Peters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Reg Hinchcliffe made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Colo-Colo's Paul Cornish ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reg Hinchcliffe. Reg Hinchcliffe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 83 minutes, Martin Robinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colo-Colo and the Mhurphys Fury F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Martin Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jermaine Downs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Sadler in the 87th minute of play. Neil Sadler took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jermaine Downs. Jermaine Downs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Billie Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 98 minutes, Paul Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo-Colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Cornish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mhurphys Fury F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
