Charlie Dobbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Forrest Henwood in the 85th minute of the match. Roy Croft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Dobbs having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Perry Hermon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Dobbs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Roberts, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Roy Croft got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
