Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ian Moyle took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Ian Moyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ambleside fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Ambleside's Eric Clifford nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liam Dickens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Liam Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Moyle in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Ambleside's goal looked a bit too open when Bronagh Lineker came free, but Leigh Hoopman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Ian Moyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Liam Dickens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Watchet's Alfred Bowen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leigh Hoopman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ian Moyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Watchet's zone, Ian Moyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liam Dickens came out of the goal and Ian Moyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambleside's Leigh Hoopman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ambleside from getting a goal against them. Ian Moyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Moyle in the 38th minute of play forced Watchet's goalkeeper Liam Dickens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ian Moyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Eric Clifford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ambleside's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Clifford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Watchet's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Moyle came free, but Liam Dickens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Bowen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Ian Moyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Bowen in the 56th minute of play forced Ambleside's goalkeeper Leigh Hoopman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Danny Wright was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ambleside's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Watchet the free kick. Danny Wright hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Moyle in the 64th minute of play forced Watchet's goalkeeper Liam Dickens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liam Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Moyle in the 65th minute of play. Rory Worrall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Dickens having to interfere. Ian Moyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Liam Dickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Moyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Bernard Beaumont cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Liam Dickens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Liam Dickens came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Ambleside's Bernard Beaumont. But to his dismay, Bernard Beaumont quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Ambleside played a much better game than Watchet and deserved their victory. The Watchet players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
