Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Ray Edison came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Intrusive Thoughts's Andrew Wild. But to his dismay, Andrew Wild quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10thth minute of the game Andrew Wild who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Tilbury's Ray Edison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ray Edison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth E. Sullivan in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Kenneth E. Sullivan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Edison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Edison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrew Wild went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 24th match minute, East Tilbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Bull to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Wild in the 28th minute of play forced East Tilbury's goalkeeper Ray Edison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Intrusive Thoughts's Andrew Wild got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrew Wild in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Edison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Jim Bannister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intrusive Thoughts's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Bannister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Edison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. East Tilbury's Ray Edison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Wild in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Intrusive Thoughts got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Garner. After the first half Intrusive Thoughts were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barry Fletcher to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Andrew Wild ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ray Edison was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Jim Bannister's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Edison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, East Tilbury's Gary Wright got a free kick in the 60th minute. East Tilbury's Ray Edison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save East Tilbury from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Intrusive Thoughts booed when East Tilbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Bland didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Bannister in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Edison saved East Tilbury from getting behind. Andrew Wild could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ray Edison made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Ray Edison successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kenneth E. Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ray Edison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Andrew Wild had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Intrusive Thoughts's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
