Sebastian Malicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Reid in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 70th minute Jane Davenport shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Malicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Horncastle's Barrie Sherman got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Vernon Clendinning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Călinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horncastle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Reid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the match, Horncastle's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Călinescu came free, but Vernon Clendinning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Jane Davenport dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastian Malicki, 0-3. Horncastle's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
