Chip Blewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Moyle in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Rory Worrall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Blewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ian Moyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ian Moyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambleside's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Moyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chip Blewitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the game, Kenneth Partridge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tooting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambleside the free kick. Kenneth Partridge kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Ian Moyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Chip Blewitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Westwood made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ian Moyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eric Clifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Clifford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Chip Blewitt made a huge save. Rory Worrall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Westwood charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliver Westwood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tooting's Owen Morgan got a free kick in the 71st minute. Chip Blewitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Clifford, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Ian Moyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Oliver Westwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kasey Pearson fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tooting's protests and gave Kasey Pearson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tooting getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kasey Pearson hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Ambleside left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tooting.
