Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barry Fletcher kicked off to start the match. Liam Dickens made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Philip Bull sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Bull got free with Liam Dickens in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, East Tilbury's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Connell came free, but Ray Edison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barry Fletcher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liam Dickens having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glen Bland during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Glen Bland hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The Watchet fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Watchet's Alfred Bowen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th match minute, East Tilbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Fletcher to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Watchet's Liam Dickens got control of the ball when Philip Bull tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Bowen in the 34th minute of play forced East Tilbury's goalkeeper Ray Edison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Glen Bland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Gus Orchard suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, East Tilbury's Glen Bland got a free kick in the 41st minute. Philip Bull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Liam Dickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Watchet were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Bowen made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Philip Bull managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Tilbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Bull was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Dickens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glenn Slade kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Philip Bull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of East Tilbury booed when Watchet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Slade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philip Bull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Philip Bull managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Tilbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Bull was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Dickens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Philip Bull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. East Tilbury's Philip Bull got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Watchet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Slade to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Watchet's Owen Wise got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute Philip Bull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. East Tilbury's Ray Edison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Bowen in the 85th minute of play. Shawn Connell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ray Edison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Bowen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Bronagh Lineker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Watchet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 97 minutes, George Bayne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Tilbury and the Watchet players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to East Tilbury getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. George Bayne hit a great ball. After having played for 99 minutes, Shawn Connell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Watchet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Connell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Watchet had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
