Shawn Connell scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Malicki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Liverpool players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Watchet were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Iustin Călinescu hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Bowen in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Malicki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Liam Dickens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Călinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Liverpool's Sebastian Malicki got control of the ball when Shawn Connell tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Shawn Connell came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Watchet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shawn Connell couldn't finish the play. Shawn Connell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Malicki having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Iustin Călinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Călinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bronagh Lineker came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sebastian Malicki could save by the left post. Watchet's Alfred Bowen got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Shawn Connell could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Sebastian Malicki however easily saved by the left post. Raimundo Bento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Erasmo Serapio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Owen Wise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Shawn Connell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Malicki came out of the goal and Shawn Connell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Watchet's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
