Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Waddington took the kick off in the first half of the match. Patrick Venables fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Rashleigh having to interfere. Patrick Venables could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Derek Rashleigh made a huge save. In the 8th minute, Julian Waddington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rotherham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 10th minute, Timothy Bramble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes of play, Rotherham's Ivor Norton made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Wardle was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the game, Ivor Norton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rotherham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ledbury the free kick. After 16 played minutes Rotherham got a freekick which was hit by Ivor Norton. Ivor Hall charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivor Hall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ledbury getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ivor Hall hit a great ball. Derek Rashleigh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamal Atkinson in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Patrick Venables dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Derek Rashleigh, 1-2. In the 36th minute, Julian Waddington made a precise shot to the right of Paul Wardle. Ledbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Paul Wardle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Scott in the 40th minute of the match. Derek Rashleigh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamal Atkinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Derek Rashleigh came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ledbury's Patrick Venables. But to his dismay, Patrick Venables quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 47th minute, Ivor Norton made a precise shot to the right of Paul Wardle. Ledbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vance Pennant to strike the kick off in the second half. When Vance Pennant fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ledbury's protests and gave Vance Pennant a yellow card for diving instead. Albert Mannell charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Mannell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ledbury booed when Rotherham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Mannell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derek Rashleigh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Venables in the 60th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Ledbury's goal looked a bit too open when Ivor Norton came free, but Paul Wardle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, John Scott took a quick shot and it went in 2-7 without a chance for Paul Wardle to make any attempt to save it. In the 94th minute Jamal Atkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Rashleigh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Derek Rashleigh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vance Pennant in the 96th minute of the match.
