Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rich Pennant started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joey Gillespie during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Joey Gillespie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rich Pennant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Brimhaven FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Pennant came free, but Kenneth E. White reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ballymoney Athletic's Frankie Cardwell got control of the ball when Daryl Rashleigh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ballymoney Athletic's Frankie Cardwell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ballymoney Athletic from getting a goal against them. Caleb Bell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kenneth E. White tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Damien Fish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Cardwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Brimhaven FC booed when Ballymoney Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Legg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Caleb Bell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brimhaven FC's Kenneth E. White was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Joey Gillespie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Caleb Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth E. White saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damien Fish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theo Gates kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Damien Fish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Cardwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ballymoney Athletic's Rich Pennant in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brimhaven FC's goalie prevented a goal. Damien Fish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Cardwell having to interfere.

The wind increased when Damien Fish made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ballymoney Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Rashleigh came free, but Frankie Cardwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rich Pennant kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kenneth E. White. That made the score 0-1 in the 56 minute of play. Daryl Rashleigh took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frankie Cardwell. Frankie Cardwell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rich Pennant struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Kenneth E. White didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballymoney Athletic. In the 76th minute of the match Elisha Burton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frankie Cardwell skillfully saved the ball. Rich Pennant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Brimhaven FC's Daryl Rashleigh made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frankie Cardwell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caleb Bell came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kenneth E. White could save by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Ballymoney Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Damien Fish came free, but Frankie Cardwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damien Fish's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frankie Cardwell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brimhaven FC had won after a very even match.
