Ledbury

Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ronny Corby took the kick off in the first half of the match. Paul Wardle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Corby , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th match minute, Ledbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Bramble to maneuver through the defense. Paul Wardle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Nethercott , who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Patrick Venables sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Cirencester's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vance Pennant fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 15th minute, Ian Hassell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Wardle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Nethercott in the 16th minute of the match. Paul Wardle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Corby in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Cirencester's Ronny Corby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Wardle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vance Pennant got free with Willie Biernat in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cirencester fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Vance Pennant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Biernat having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ledbury's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kristopher White was slow to take the kick. During this time Cirencester's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cirencester's Kristopher White to fire away a dangerous shot which Paul Wardle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ronny Corby 's late challenge caught a Ledbury's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronny Corby helped the player get up and apologised. Paul Wardle was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Ronny Corby capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronny Corby really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. If Ian Hassell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ledbury's Paul Wardle got control of the ball when Tommy Nethercott tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ledbury's Paul Wardle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ledbury from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute of the match Joey Nethercoat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Wardle skillfully saved the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Ledbury's goalkeeper Paul Wardle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommy Nethercott . Tommy Nethercott 's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paul Wardle firmly grabbed it by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Cirencester's goal looked a bit too open when Vance Pennant came free, but Willie Biernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Wardle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Corby in the 83rd minute of the match. Jamal Atkinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Willie Biernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Hassell got free with Paul Wardle in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ledbury booed when Cirencester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Gascoigne didn't get a good kick on the ball.
