Spectators: 10865 (Terracing: 8150, Seating: 2499, VIP seats: 216) 7 minutes into the match, Thorne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Varela came free, but Alex Kent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Gregory Watts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thorne FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rawdon FC the free kick. Gregory Watts hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Thorne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Bonds to maneuver through the defense. Rawdon FC's Bobby Prutton got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rawdon FC booed when Thorne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Blacknell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ponce Roig got free with Alex Kent in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ponce Roig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alex Kent made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Thorne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Prutton came free, but Alex Kent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bobby Prutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Thorne FC's Alex Kent got control of the ball when Ponce Roig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Thorne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregory Dowie to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 47 in the game by Ponce Roig from a close distance when the talented Alex Kent managed to make a qualified save. Thorne FC's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Louie Story-Moore to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Reinaldo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Kent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Kent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponce Roig, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Bobby Prutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Kent having to interfere. Alex Kent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Varela in the 68th minute of the match. Ponce Roig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Kent having to interfere. Alex Kent came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Rawdon FC's Ronnie Campbell. But to his dismay, Ronnie Campbell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Reinaldo Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Thorne FC got a freekick which was hit by Sam Murray. Alex Kent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponce Roig, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Rawdon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patrick Vieira in the 97th minute. A nice corner shot did that Patrick Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alex Kent quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rawdon FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
