To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, BUBASAUR's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Theobold came free, but Isaac William Russell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, BUBASAUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnnie Postolan to maneuver through the defense. Isaac William Russell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Menderes Özdoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaac William Russell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menderes Özdoa in the 29th minute of the match. Bruce Botham charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruce Botham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BUBASAUR getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. BUBASAUR's Isaac William Russell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergün Senih in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vincent Houghton was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Mumford in the 54th minute of play forced BUBASAUR's goalkeeper Isaac William Russell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac William Russell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ergün Senih in the 57th minute of play. If Menderes Özdoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Isaac William Russell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Rain Kuusk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rain Kuusk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac William Russell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Tod Theobold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac William Russell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tod Theobold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Isaac William Russell made a huge save. Lopez Riopedre took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaac William Russell. Isaac William Russell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddie Boston got free with Isaac William Russell in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Menderes Özdoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac William Russell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Menderes Özdoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac William Russell made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Tod Theobold sent off a good shot on target. Ergün Senih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Isaac William Russell made a huge save. Freddie Boston struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Isaac William Russell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo. The BUBASAUR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flamengo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
