Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, Gomersal AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Romo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Ruggieri. Bobby Wilson took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Romo. Mateo Romo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goalkeeper Ronnie Law, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ed Topham hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Mateo Romo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmondo Ruggieri in the 47th minute.

Mateo Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobby Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kiera Archer hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The tension between the Autocares Vázquez Olmedo and the Gomersal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Ash Taylor got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Edmondo Ruggieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmondo Ruggieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronnie Law was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
