Flamengo's 柯誉海 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vit Coin in the 9th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper 柯誉海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by A.J. 诸葛谨 in the 14th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper 柯誉海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Simmons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ergün Senih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Vit Coin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 柯誉海. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 25th minute, Vit Coin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ergün Senih managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ergün Senih was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew Simmons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Boston to maneuver through the defense. Forrest Frizzell made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Roma AS's Edgard Aires. Flamengo's 柯誉海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by A.J. 诸葛谨 in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Flamengo's Marlon Mumford nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrew Simmons made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vit Coin to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when A.J. 诸葛谨 came free, but 柯誉海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marlon Mumford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Simmons having to interfere. Ergün Senih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flamengo's 柯誉海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Aires in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Freddie Boston made a precise shot to the right of Andrew Simmons. Roma AS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Freddie Boston's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrew Simmons firmly grabbed it by the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Freddie Boston dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrew Simmons, 1-3. If Ergün Senih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Roma AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Fuller to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Simmons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marlon Mumford went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. A.J. 诸葛谨 took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 柯誉海. 柯誉海 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ergün Senih in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrew Simmons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute Edgard Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 柯誉海 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Edgard Aires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 柯誉海 was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Andrew Simmons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marlon Mumford in the 90th minute of play.
