Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Glengesh's Boethis Keegan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tevis McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boethis Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timothy Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kilteely's zone, Tevis McCready stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Branson came out of the goal and Tevis McCready tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Boethis Keegan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kieran Branson, 1-0. Boethis Keegan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kieran Branson came out and tried to block the shot, but Boethis Keegan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Glengesh's Gehan McNamara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearroid Gillmour in the 27th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kilteely fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Kieran Branson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boethis Keegan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 34 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flann Colwell was the one to do the kick off. Glengesh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Gearroid Gillmour scored to the left of an out of position Gehan McNamara, making the score, 4-1. 55 minutes into the match, Kilteely's goal looked a bit too open when Boethis Keegan came free, but Kieran Branson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Boethis Keegan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilteely's Kieran Branson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Flann Colwell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gehan McNamara. Glengesh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flann Colwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Tevis McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glengesh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tevis McCready was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Kilteely's Nolen MaCollin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gearroid Gillmour was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Boethis Keegan struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Kieran Branson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glengesh. 89 minutes into the match, Kilteely's goal looked a bit too open when Tevis McCready came free, but Kieran Branson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tevis McCready might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kieran Branson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tevis McCready ran back to his position shaking his head.
