Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ryan Hughes made the kick off and thus started the match. Brefni Doyle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Rowan Gallagher successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Patrick Cassin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ryan Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Hughes in the 24th minute of play forced Leap FC's goalkeeper Brefni Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Leap FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah McLaughlin. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ciarán Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leap FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciarán Perth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rowan Gallagher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciarán Perth in the 28th minute of play forced Barnalisheen's goalkeeper Rowan Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. When Caoilte Hamilton fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leap FC's protests and gave Caoilte Hamilton a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Leap FC! Brefni Doyle went to the wrong direction when Bhrighde McOliver was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Leap FC's Patrick Morrison got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Barnalisheen's Bhrighde McOliver broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Leap FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jeremiah McLaughlin hit a great ball. After 41 minutes, Patrick Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barnalisheen and the Leap FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Barnalisheen got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Cassin. After a rather tough play, Barnalisheen's Bevin Dillon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rowan Gallagher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ravan Martyn in the 45th minute. If Patrick Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciarán Perth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Ryan Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brefni Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Morrison charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Morrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Leap FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Morrison. Patrick Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rowan Gallagher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ravan Martyn in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Barnalisheen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leap FC:s goal. Brefni Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cáirbre Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brenn McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match.
