Bar Gough struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Brefni Doyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drishane. Patrick Morrison's late challenge caught a Drishane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Morrison helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Drishane booed when Leap FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Morrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes, Ryleigh Dempsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drishane and the Leap FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ryleigh Dempsey kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Bar Gough. If Patrick Morrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Morrison in the 37th minute of play forced Drishane's goalkeeper Bradaigh McBrandon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes, Peyton Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drishane and the Leap FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Peyton Cassin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Morrison received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bradaigh McBrandon came out and tried to block the shot, but Patrick Morrison slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Alex Beckett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drishane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leap FC the free kick. After 71 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Ryleigh Dempsey. Brefni Doyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bar Gough in the 78th minute of the match. Bradaigh McBrandon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ravan Martyn in the 93rd minute. Leap FC played a much better game than Drishane and deserved their victory. The Drishane players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
