The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agostinho Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agostinho Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Mineiro. After 20 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Kutlu Acaralp. Dewain Ferguson made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Drishane's Agostinho Mineiro. Kutlu Acaralp's late challenge caught a Barnalisheen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kutlu Acaralp helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Drishane getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kutlu Acaralp hit a great ball. If Patrick Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kutlu Acaralp kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryan Hughes was the one to do the kick off. Kutlu Acaralp kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cáirbre Lavine in the 60th minute of play forced Drishane's goalkeeper Bradaigh McBrandon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnalisheen's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Cassin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradaigh McBrandon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kutlu Acaralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Gallagher having to interfere. Drishane's Ryleigh Dempsey managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dewain Ferguson in the 81 minute of the game. In the 89th minute Ryan Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradaigh McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Bar Gough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rowan Gallagher. The goal made the score 0-1. The Drishane players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
