With his leg Berach McLaughlin managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Ballyfermot's Donall Gallagher fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Berach McLaughlin was a little too slow when Gordan Palmer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Donall Gallagher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Berach McLaughlin made a huge save. Ennis Bayes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, one of Ballyfermot:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballyfermot. The referee gave Dunbeacon Utd a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bealtaine McIan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballyfermot's Buach McWill. 1-1. After having played for 25 minutes, Joshua Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunbeacon Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Perth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buach McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Perth in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Theobald McJohnny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tormaigh MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Dunbeacon Utd's Berach McLaughlin got control of the ball when Donall Gallagher tried to sneak it across the goal line. Berach McLaughlin came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ballyfermot's Donall Gallagher. But to his dismay, Donall Gallagher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A hard shot by Phillip Kelly from long distance, 50 minutes into the match, got Berach McLaughlin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Donall Gallagher made the kick off in the second half. Alan McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot by Bealtaine McIan from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Buach McWill's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 65th minute Alan McLian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berach McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Donall Gallagher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berach McLaughlin was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Alan McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Berach McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Blavock Robinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunbeacon Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyfermot the free kick. After 78 played minutes Dunbeacon Utd got a freekick which was hit by Blavock Robinson. In the 83rd minute, Tormaigh MaCollin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ballyfermot's Tormaigh MaCollin got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tormaigh MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Berach McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bergin McAlphie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Donall Gallagher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berach McLaughlin. Dunbeacon Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donall Gallagher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Ballyfermot's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
