Art Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Loumore's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Hughes came free, but Art Coyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Art Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Cassin, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Eoghan Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ryan Hughes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrick Cassin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Art Coyle made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Torran Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Cassin got free with Art Coyle in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Hughes in the 78th minute of play forced Loumore's goalkeeper Art Coyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torran Mulvihill's late challenge caught a Barnalisheen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torran Mulvihill helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Torran Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ryan Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnalisheen were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Loumore to leave the ground with a draw.
