In the 3rd minute of the match, Berrin McWillie got a very nice opportunity to score, but Buach McWill was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Ballyfermot getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ennis Bayes hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Skenahincha FC's Buach McWill threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ciarán Murphy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Berrin McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Buach McWill made a huge save. In the 9th match minute, Skenahincha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Tierney to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Skenahincha FC's Harrigan Horgan got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donall Gallagher in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Suibhne Branson saved Skenahincha FC from getting behind. Donall Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Suibhne Branson having to interfere. Donegan Hutton kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Suibhne Branson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donall Gallagher's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Buach McWill stood somewhat misplaced when Berrin McWillie came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. Ciarán Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buach McWill having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gordan Palmer to strike the kick off in the second half. Bergin McAlphie hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Ciarán Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irwin McJohnny during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Skenahincha FC's Irwin McJohnny got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute, Berrin McWillie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Gordan Palmer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Suibhne Branson. Gordan Palmer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Donall Gallagher in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Suibhne Branson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donall Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Buach McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berrin McWillie in the 95th minute of the match. Ballyfermot's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
