Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gordan Palmer got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Ballyfermot's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Cassin came free, but Buach McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barnalisheen's zone, Donall Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Gallagher came out of the goal and Donall Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Barnalisheen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donall Gallagher fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Barnalisheen's Rowan Gallagher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Palmer in the 9th minute of play. Rowan Gallagher was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Gordan Palmer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gordan Palmer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Barnalisheen's Dewain Ferguson got a free kick in the 13th minute. Gordan Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Gallagher having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryan Hughes in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Buach McWill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Barnalisheen's zone, Gordan Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Gallagher came out of the goal and Gordan Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ryan Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Barnalisheen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Hughes couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballyfermot's goalkeeper Buach McWill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ryan Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Buach McWill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patrick Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryan Hughes was the one to do the kick off. Ennis Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ballyfermot's Buach McWill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Hughes in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Ballyfermot getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alan McLian hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Patrick Cassin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ballyfermot's Buach McWill. Buach McWill was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th match minute, Barnalisheen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eoghan Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Barnalisheen's Rowan Gallagher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donall Gallagher in the 60th minute of play. Rowan Gallagher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gordan Palmer's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Donall Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rowan Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donall Gallagher in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, one of Barnalisheen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 81st minute, Donall Gallagher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rowan Gallagher was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Patrick Cassin took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Buach McWill. Buach McWill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 95 minutes into the match, Barnalisheen's goal looked a bit too open when Donall Gallagher came free, but Rowan Gallagher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donall Gallagher in the 99th minute of play forced Barnalisheen's goalkeeper Rowan Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ballyfermot had won after a very even match.
