But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dugan Hunt couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Caherbarnagh's Binnech McDonald got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Reginald Dempsey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saoirse McPhilip was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Byrne Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caherbarnagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Byrne Colwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trevor Gough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caherbarnagh's Byrne Colwell managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dermod Beckett in the 64 minute of the game. Kain Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Gough having to interfere. Saoirse McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginald Dempsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kain Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dermod Beckett made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Caherbarnagh's Byrne Colwell. A sloppy throw-in by Dermod Beckett in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Caherbarnagh's Byrne Colwell. 96 minutes into the match, Gortleatilla's goal looked a bit too open when Dugan Hunt came free, but Trevor Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
