When Artuir McSteve came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Gortleatilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artuir McSteve couldn't finish the play. Reginald Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devlin Dillon having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Bowen Costello made a precise shot to the right of Devlin Dillon. Killinkere Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Devlin Dillon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Artuir McSteve sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Killinkere Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald Dempsey came free, but Devlin Dillon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginald Dempsey in the 44th minute of play forced Killinkere Utd's goalkeeper Devlin Dillon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Suibhne Walker was the one to do the kick off. After 63 minutes, Fiachra McVictor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killinkere Utd and the Gortleatilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fiachra McVictor kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 75 minutes of play Gortleatilla's Bowen Costello was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Gortleatilla's Bowen Costello got a free kick in the 76th minute. Killinkere Utd's Suibhne Walker got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reginald Dempsey hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Gortleatilla's Trevor Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suibhne Walker in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Gortleatilla got a freekick which was hit by Reginald Dempsey. Devlin Dillon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artuir McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Killinkere Utd's zone, Artuir McSteve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Devlin Dillon came out of the goal and Artuir McSteve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flannery Johnson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Trevor Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
