Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alfred McVictor started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alfred McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiltartan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Coran Frankson scored to the left of an out of position Beale McStephen, making the score, 1-0. Barrie McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Kelly having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Brenn Cooney notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Kiltartan's Beale McStephen. Beale McStephen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Turlough Palmer made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Boru McIan immediately put the ball in play. Bernard Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Philip Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Kiltartan's Beale McStephen got control of the ball when Brenn Cooney tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Coran Frankson got free with Beale McStephen in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Kiltartan's Artur Holt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Kelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alfred McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kiltartan were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Fahan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfred McVictor took the corner. 37 minutes into the match, Fahan's goal looked a bit too open when Brefni Dalton came free, but Philip Kelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiltartan's Beale McStephen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Kiltartan from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Coran Frankson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Joseph McBrand made the kick off in the second half. Fahan's Philip Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brefni Dalton in the 56th minute of play. Alfred McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Philip Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Fahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain McWillie to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Brefni Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Fahan booed when Kiltartan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caimin Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes of play, Fahan's Brenn Cooney made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beale McStephen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 87 played minutes Fahan got a freekick which was hit by Turlough Palmer. Many of Kiltartan's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Kiltartan may have spent more time on the ball, but Fahan were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
