Bearach Sheridan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philip Kelly having to make a save. Fahan's Philip Kelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bearach Sheridan in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenn Cooney in the 20th minute of play forced Ventry's goalkeeper Timothy Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Ventry's goal looked a bit too open when Brenn Cooney came free, but Timothy Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coran Frankson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Fahan defense, Benjamin McPaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Kelly. The Fahan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Kelly should have stopped the shot. Bearach Sheridan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Ventry's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benjamin McPaul's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Philip Kelly skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bearach Sheridan struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Philip Kelly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 68th minute Bearach Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Kelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Brain McWillie fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fahan's protests and gave Brain McWillie a yellow card for diving instead. Brain McWillie hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match.
