Ventry's Timothy Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan McDecland in the 12th minute of play. Benjamin McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brayden Delaney having to interfere. If Bearach Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bearach Sheridan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brayden Delaney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin McPaul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ventry's Benjamin McPaul in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Grangegeeth AFC defense, Benjamin McPaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brayden Delaney. The Grangegeeth AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brayden Delaney should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bearach Sheridan in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brayden Delaney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bearach Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Brayden Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ventry played a much better game than Grangegeeth AFC and deserved their victory. The Grangegeeth AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
