In the 17th minute Brecc Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timothy Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin McPaul might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pearce Hunt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin McPaul ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin McPaul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Bearach Sheridan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pearce Hunt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Benjamin McPaul notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Lisagoan's Pearce Hunt. Pearce Hunt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pearce Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin McPaul in the 27th minute of the match. Timothy Taylor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brecc Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin McPaul's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pearce Hunt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ventry's Benjamin McPaul got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Brecc Doherty's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timothy Taylor was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin McPaul to make the kick off. Pearce Hunt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bearach Sheridan went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Timothy Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brecc Doherty in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ventry defense, Brecc Doherty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timothy Taylor. The Ventry fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timothy Taylor should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Keefe Gillmour had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timothy Taylor. Ventry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keefe Gillmour was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. When Samuel Bayes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lisagoan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Bayes couldn't finish the play. Ventry's Timothy Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breadan Lavine in the 78th minute of play. Brecc Doherty's late challenge caught a Ventry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brecc Doherty helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brecc Doherty in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timothy Taylor saved Ventry from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Ventry's Benjamin McPaul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pearce Hunt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bearach Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearce Hunt having to interfere. When the match was over Ventry could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lisagoan throughout the match.
