Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Begg Morrison got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Killina's Herygh Martyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colm Doherty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Breenagh Utd defense, Begg Morrison kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Colm Doherty. The Breenagh Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Colm Doherty should have stopped the shot. Herygh Martyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Colm Doherty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herygh Martyn ran back to his position shaking his head. After 23 minutes, Beagan McDecland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Breenagh Utd and the Killina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Beagan McDecland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Killina's Begg Morrison got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herygh Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Doherty having to interfere. Begg Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breenagh Utd's Colm Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Begg Morrison in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Killina getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Fintan Horgan hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Begg Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Begg Morrison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Breenagh Utd getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Boyle Benson hit a great ball. 0-3 became the score in the 36th minute when Herygh Martyn elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 39th minute Begg Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colm Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Killina got a freekick which was hit by Donan Savic. A hard shot by Binnech Jameson from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Richard Taylor's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Begg Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Colm Doherty read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Beagan McDecland hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Killina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donan Savic in the 50th minute. Killina's Donan Savic was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Colm Doherty in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davie Gillmour was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Davie Gillmour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herygh Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Colm Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Begg Morrison in the 61st minute of play forced Breenagh Utd's goalkeeper Colm Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herygh Martyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Colm Doherty when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Begg Morrison in the 71st minute of play forced Breenagh Utd's goalkeeper Colm Doherty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davie Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Richard Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herygh Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Herygh Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colm Doherty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Begg Morrison in the 78th minute of play. Begg Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Doherty having to interfere. The corner led Breenagh Utd's Binnech Jameson to fire away a dangerous shot which Richard Taylor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Killina's Tyrone McGlynn got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute Begg Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colm Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Breenagh Utd's zone, Begg Morrison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colm Doherty came out of the goal and Begg Morrison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Breenagh Utd getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Dillon McTommy hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Killina's Donan Savic broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
