In the 32nd minute, Gortnagappul AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Davie Gillmour fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 33 minutes into the match, Gortnagappul AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dillon McTommy came free, but Donncha Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donncha Murphy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dillon McTommy in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Gortnagappul AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Taylor. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dillon McTommy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breenagh Utd's goalkeeper Colm Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Breenagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Glen Crowe to maneuver through the defense. Davie Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lochlainn John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Doherty having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Breenagh Utd's zone, Lochlainn John stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colm Doherty came out of the goal and Lochlainn John tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, Breenagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beagan McDecland to maneuver through the defense. If Aaden Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Breenagh Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gortnagappul AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
