Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brak Cronin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Killina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herygh Martyn to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes, Corey Barrett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oldbawn and the Killina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Corey Barrett hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Robert Cassin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Begg Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Begg Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Cassin having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conn Kelly during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Oldbawn getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Conn Kelly hit a great ball. Begg Morrison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Killina's Derry McFrank got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Bowie Caffey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brak Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Taylor having to interfere. Begg Morrison received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robert Cassin came out and tried to block the shot, but Begg Morrison slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Richard Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brak Cronin in the 35th minute of play. Lee Sheridan struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Richard Taylor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oldbawn. Seán Gough charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seán Gough the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seán Gough hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Corey Barrett in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Richard Taylor's left hand side. 46 minutes into the game, Lee Sheridan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Richard Taylor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Begg Morrison to strike the kick off in the second half. Herygh Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Herygh Martyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Brak Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Donavon Dunne collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 73 minutes into the game, Bowie Caffey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oldbawn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Killina the free kick. After a rather tough play, Oldbawn's Bowie Caffey got a free kick in the 74th minute. Robert Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herygh Martyn in the 75th minute of the match. Richard Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brak Cronin in the 78th minute of play. Oldbawn's Lee Sheridan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 79th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Herygh Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Cassin having to interfere. When Herygh Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Killina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herygh Martyn couldn't finish the play. Lee Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
