Robert McBrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Deery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rooney McBrand was a little too slow when Begg Brennan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Boudibiua Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Begg Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rooney McBrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Begg Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rooney McBrand having to interfere. Brefni Frankson's late challenge caught a Golden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brefni Frankson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Killygar FC's Brefni Frankson got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Killygar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conleth McPeter came free, but Robert McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleary Jameson in the 35th minute of play forced Killygar FC's goalkeeper Robert McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Killygar FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Barhan Bayes hit a great ball. Killygar FC's Berkley McJon got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Deery to strike the kick off in the second half. Robert McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Deery in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Berkley McJon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rooney McBrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrie Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Boudibiua Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rooney McBrand having to interfere. Rooney McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berkley McJon in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 73rdth minute of the game Boudibiua Jameson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden's Rooney McBrand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cleary Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes, Ryland Moran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killygar FC and the Golden players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Ryland Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Ghee in the 83rd minute of play forced Killygar FC's goalkeeper Robert McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
