In the 9th minute of the match Basil McSteve sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevis Caffey skillfully saved the ball. Cormac McStephen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herich McTommy's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blathmac Taylor during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Carnmalin Utd got a freekick which was hit by George McIan. In the 23rd minute Herich McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cormac McStephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herich McTommy in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cormac McStephen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Phillip Taylor in the 36th minute really tested Cormac McStephen 's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Leonard McJames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Bercan McJames fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kevis Caffey, passed just outside the right post. Herich McTommy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cormac McStephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryan McDecland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 62 minutes, Beiti McNamee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carnmalin Utd and the Corah Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Corah Utd booed when Carnmalin Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beiti McNamee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevis Caffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bercan McJames in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bercan McJames in the 68th minute of play forced Carnmalin Utd's goalkeeper Kevis Caffey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Carnmalin Utd's Beiti McNamee got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Pearce McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. Cormac McStephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herich McTommy, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute.
