After a rather tough play, Cum's Berke Hughes got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearce Horgan in the 11th minute of play forced Cum's goalkeeper Brendann Cronin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewain McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berke Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berke Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coran Mulvihill having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Berke Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cum's supporters rose to their feet, but Berke Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coran Mulvihill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cum's Dewain McJohnny in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Annesbrook's goalie prevented a goal. Coran Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bow McJon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shey McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendann Cronin having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Bow McJon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Annesbrook's Coran Mulvihill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Banon McSteven hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Berke Hughes sped through Annesbrook's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Coran Mulvihill. The supporters of Annesbrook booed when Cum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tormaigh Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendann Cronin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alexander Cassin. In the 47th minute Pearce Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendann Cronin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pearce Horgan to make the kick off. Brendann Cronin came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Annesbrook's Pearce Horgan. But to his dismay, Pearce Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pearce Horgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Dewain McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dewain McJohnny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Annesbrook's Coran Mulvihill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Annesbrook from getting a goal against them. Coran Mulvihill made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Dewain McJohnny sent off a good shot on target. Dewain McJohnny might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Coran Mulvihill. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dewain McJohnny ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Cum's Coran Mulvihill threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Berke Hughes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
