After 15 minutes of play, Skeagh Utd's Gaynor Bayes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendann Cronin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harrigan McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Banbhan McLiam got free with Boru Savic in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brendann Cronin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaynor Bayes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Gaynor Bayes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skeagh Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Skeagh Utd's Cacey Tracy got a free kick in the 39th minute. Gaynor Bayes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brendann Cronin having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cacey Tracy to strike the kick off in the second half. Skeagh Utd's Gaynor Bayes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bellaghy McAaron in the 55 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Cum's zone, Cacey Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendann Cronin came out of the goal and Cacey Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rylie Murphy's late challenge caught a Cum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rylie Murphy helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Skeagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Rylie Murphy. 66 minutes into the game, Lawrence Kelly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Brendann Cronin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Becan Lavine hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Donavon McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Skeagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacey Tracy to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Skeagh Utd walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
