Herich McTommy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tory McDonald having to interfere. Redford AFC's Tory McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beiti McNamee in the 12th minute of play. Beiti McNamee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Redford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caoilte Beckett to maneuver through the defense. If Pearce McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Herich McTommy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tory McDonald was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Pearce McTom put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tory McDonald. 25 minutes into the game, Herich McTommy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tory McDonald was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Redford AFC's Tory McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beiti McNamee in the 28th minute of play. Tory McDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herich McTommy in the 29th minute of play. Tory McDonald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearce McTom, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Redford AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Finian Murphy hit a great ball. Tory McDonald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scot Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Tory McDonald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herich McTommy's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After the first half Carnmalin Utd were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herich McTommy was the one to do the kick off. Redford AFC's Tory McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herich McTommy in the 54th minute of play. Carnmalin Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patton Glen Crowe in the 56th minute. Carnmalin Utd's Herich McTommy was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tory McDonald in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Beiti McNamee kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beiti McNamee during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Carnmalin Utd getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Beiti McNamee hit a great ball. Redford AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patton Glen Crowe ran over to the corner to take the kick. George McIan made a great header on Carnmalin Utd's corner, it was just that Redford AFC's Tory McDonald managed to reach the ball for a save. If Pearce McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carnmalin Utd's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
