An unexpectedly hard shot by Herich McTommy in the 7th minute of play forced Corlisheen's goalkeeper Bressail McDonald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tate McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevis Caffey having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herich McTommy in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bressail McDonald saved Corlisheen from getting behind. If Pearce McTom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pearce McTom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herich McTommy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bressail McDonald read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Tate McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevis Caffey having to interfere. Kevis Caffey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaine Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Bressail McDonald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pearce McTom in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carnmalin Utd's Scot Caffrey got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Herich McTommy put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bressail McDonald. Kaine Kelly struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kevis Caffey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corlisheen. Kevis Caffey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tate McOliver in the 46th minute. Kaine Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Kevis Caffey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herich McTommy to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Pearce McTom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnmalin Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearce McTom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bressail McDonald was a little too slow when Pearce McTom got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. Pearce McTom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bressail McDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Carnmalin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Tate McOliver came free, but Kevis Caffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Herich McTommy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pearce McTom in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bressail McDonald, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88th minute, Pearce McTom fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Herich McTommy struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Bressail McDonald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carnmalin Utd. When the match was over Carnmalin Utd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corlisheen throughout the match.
